No Woman, No Cry – Bob Marley

Bob Marley’s music always relaxes me. It has a soothing rythm to almost seems to move with the rhythm of life. This song also has the bonus of the chorus of “Everything’s gonna be alright” which to me isn’t just a feel good phrase but a truism. Things may not be alright at that moment but things will work out eventually.

The keyboard is really interesting in this song because if you really focus on it, it has a kind of sporadic or haphazard feel to it. As if the keyboardist is playing random notes that magically fall into place. It really leads to the emotion of the song in which its a song of rebirth and over coming hard times.
